Dubai golf tournament sees players battle heat and course

Dubai: The August BMW medal at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club was captured by J.M. Roh by the narrowest of margins on Saturday.
Over 50 club members braved the soaring temperatures to take part in the competition.
Roh scored a solid net 71 playing from his seven handicap and secured the overall prize thanks to his the back nine. Stephen Sanderson finished second.
Runner up in Men's Division 'A' was Paul King on net 73.
He edged out Peter Shaw, who also shot net 73, after a count back of the last six holes of the round.
Sanderson missed out on the overall prize but claimed Division 'B' by a clear four shots from Club Captain Abdul Aziz Al Hakim who finished alone in runners up spot with his net 75.
M.J Lee won the Ladies Division with a net 75 from her closest challenger C.M Yuk who shot a net 79.
Six players contested the overall junior prize and Chris Davies came out on top with his net 71.
