Dubai: Champions Arabian Ranches Golf Club lost 3-1 to Abu Dhabi Golf Club in Match Day 11 of the 2007-08 Invitational Scratch Golf League at the Arabian Ranches.

The home team lost the three top matches with Abu Dhabi already crowned League B winners.

On a day of impressive golf, the visiting team proved too strong in the re-match of last year's League final that ARGC had narrowly won to take the title.

The final League B standings see ADGC with 17 points, The Montgomerie, Dubai, and Al Ghazal Golf Club both with 7 points and ARGC last with 4 points. All the teams have played their three matches.

The final match of the 12 first-round fixtures takes place in League A at the end of the month when Dubai Country Club/Sharjah Wanderers Golf Club play host to Emirates Golf Club on Friday, March 28.

Bob Driver, Invitational Scratch Golf League co-ordinator, said: "This is a fine performance from Abu Dhabi Golf Club. It has once again created a dilemma for the organising committee to decide on how to resolve the second place."
