Abu Dhabi: A local paper on Thursday reported that the Al Wasl's Brazilian head coach, Ze Mario, has signed a contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab, two matches before the domestic league ends.

Ze Mario led Al Wasl last season in winning the double but failed this season to achieve the same success in both the domestic league and the Asian Champions League despite reaching the final of the President's Cup which they lost to Al Ahli.

Rashid Belhoul, the Chairman of the Al Wasl board of directors, said, "We have not spoken to Ze Mario to decide on his future yet but we have heard that he is thinking of leaving the club," when he was asked about the future of the coach following the 1-0 defeat against Al Dhafrah last week.
