The Arabian Gulf Cup is an event featuring mainly football matches among Gulf nations. This year, disciplines like basketball, handball and volleyball have been introduced. The event is held every two years.

This year's Gulf Cup is the 19th edition since the founding of the event in 1968 by Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The First Gulf Cup tournament was held in Bahrain.

Countries joining the event are United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Kuwait, Oman Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain.

This year's event began on January 17 and will close on January 30.
