UAE under-19 soccer team reach World Youth Cup finals
The UAE youth under-19 soccer team reached the World Youth Cup finals in Egypt next year after defeating Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the Asian youth championships quarterfinals held on Saturday.
Dammam: The UAE youth under-19 soccer team reached the World Youth Cup finals in Egypt next year after defeating Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the Asian youth championships quarterfinals held on Saturday at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Ziyab Awana scored the all important goal for the UAE in the 63rd minute. In addition to the World youth cup qualification, the UAE play on Monday in the semifinals of the Asian youth championships against Australia.
A win against the socceroos will take UAE to the final of the Asian championships for the first time.
