Dubai: The UAE national team technical staff, led by French coach Bruno Metsu, are worried about the mentality of the Al Wahda club players who are part of the UAE national team.
The Al Wahda players are key factors in the Bruno Metsu's squad in the last two years.
Esmail Mattar, the best footballer in the country, Haydar Allo Ali, Bashir Saeed, Abdullah Al Naouby and Mohammad Al Sheh'hi, all are very important players for the coach in the UAE campaign to reach the World cup finals in South Africa.
The Al Wahda players are passing through bad phase following their poor form in the domestic tournaments. They are in the 10th place in the league table with 13 points, losing three matches in a row and six in all and winning only three.
Al Wahda also lost in the President's cup quarterfinals. They play next month in the Asian Champions League and have to be prepared well. Last year they lost in the semifinals to Sepahan of Iran.
The UAE national team leave on March 17 to meet Oman in a warm up on 19th in Muscat. They return to fly on 23rd to Damascus to meet Syria on 26th in the 2010 World cup qualifiers.
