In the 11 years that I have lived in the UAE, I have never seen such excitement over a victory. The UAE deserves this success and Mattar is the best quality player, along with the rest of the team. I congratulate them for their effort and the coach as well, who has been a key factor in building such a world-class team.

I am so happy that I was a part of history in the making. I was among the 60,000 plus spectators inside the stadium. I have never been in the middle of such a celebration. I cannot ever forget it, because it has been written in history as well as on my heart. Esmail Mattar is a national hero.
