London: Cardiff manager Neil Warnock celebrated his 69th birthday in style as his promotion chasers swept to a 3-1 win over Norwich in the Championship on Friday.
Warnock’s team fell behind to Marco Stiepermann’s first-half opener at the Cardiff City Stadium, but they hit back after the interval as goals from Joe Ralls, Junior Hoilett and Omar Bogle got the party started for Warnock.
The victory was second-placed Cardiff’s 13th in the league this season and moves them to within one point of leaders Wolves. In Friday’s other second-tier action, Henri Lansbury came off the bench to earn fourth-placed Aston Villa a 1-1 draw with Leeds at Elland Road.
