Abu Dhabi: The market of local players is witnessing lots of action as clubs prepare to start their training camps prior to the kick off of the first ever Professional League in September.
UAE's left wingback, Saif Mohammad, has already moved from Al Shaab to Al Ain for a record Dh10 million last month and there are speculations that Abdulla Malullah, the defending midfielder of the UAE and Emirates Club, might fetch Dh12 million as Al Ahli, Al Shabab, Sharjah, Al Nasr and Al Ain have started negotiations with his club.
Meanwhile, league champions, Al Shabab, have signed a deal with the Al Ahli's defender Abdulla Shah to join them for one season and Al Wasl have approached Yousuf Hassan, from Al Shaab.
"The Al Wasl management have called to inform us about their wish to buy Yousuf," Obaid Al Shamsi, the Al Shaab's secretary general, said. Al Shaab have asked for Dh3 million to release their player.
Contract terminated
Gareeb Harib, a former player of the UAE and Al Ain who joined Al Dhafrah last season, confirmed that he had terminated his contract with Al Dhafrah and will not sign to a new one. "The club's management did not meet my conditions to sign a new contract despite their former promises. I have not yet decided where to go." Harib told Gulf News yesterday.
Yousuf Moussa, the Al Nasr left wingback, will join Ajman on loan while Yousuf Abdul Aziz, the former UAE and Al Jazira right winger, is reported to have started negotiations with Al Nasr.
