Khalil's brother a worthy successor
Faisal Khalil is hot property at Al Ahli, but younger brother Ahmad is being considered as becoming more than a worthy successor in the near future.
Dubai: Faisal Khalil is hot property at Al Ahli, but younger brother Ahmad is being considered as becoming more than a worthy successor in the near future.
"Honestly, I do not want to talk about Ahmad.
"I want people to talk about him and his exploits," Faisal told Gulf News.
"To me he is the same as any other player in the side. But I also realise that he is important and he is capable of some amazing things on the field with his talent."
Given the aura surrounding the Khalil brothers, the elder warns his younger sibling that the road to success will not be easy.
"He needs to keep his head on his shoulders, and he can do this by remembering that he has a long way to go for Al Ahli and for the UAE," Faisal said.
"He is only 16 and he has a long, long way to go.
"He has that something extra in him and he has to prove this to the fans and to the people of the UAE.
"I am always with him, but it is left up to him to show that he is special for the game."
