Abu Dhabi Sports Council teams up with Italian giants to offer training sessions for children

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), in collaboration with Italian football giants Inter Milan Club, will organise a four-day Inter Milan Village in Abu Dhabi from Wednesday.
The agreement of ADSC with Inter Milan Club aims to develop football in the emirate. It hopes to enhance the capabilities of professional football clubs and assist in the development of juvenile football teams of these clubs through the football academies of Al Ain, Al Jazira, Al Wahda, Baniyas and Al Dhafra.
The two-year agreement was signed in May 2008. Inter Milan Village is a theme park that was first staged in 2008 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the establishment of Inter Milan Club.
The objective of this event is to promote global peace through football, and this is the first time it is being staged outside Italy. This is the second edition of the Village.

In the press conference Tuesday at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, Mohammad Ebrahim Al Mahmoud, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Ernesto Paolillo, Executive Director of Inter Milan Club, and Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of Tasweeq Company, announced that the Inter Village in Abu Dhabi will be staged at the Marina Mall parking area.
Al Mahmoud and Paolillo said the Village will include football activities for children aged 7-14, training sessions and lectures on the principles of football, freestyle shows, games, as well as various entertainment activities.
The General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council added that ADSC based on its strategy and vision will always strive to have partnerships with international institutions with the objective to develop sports in Abu Dhabi.
He added that the Inter Milan Village in Abu Dhabi is a result of such a strategy. Coaches of the Football Academy of Inter Milan club will participate in the event.
