  • The UAE's largest five-a-side football tournament was held at the Wanderers Sports Club, Sharjah.

Sharjah: FC Nomad won the Gulf News Plate at the largest five-a-side football tournament held in the UAE at the Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club. They beat Al Zuuari Shipping 2-0.

Premier Inn won a five-goal thriller against Emirates Engineer Nursery 3-2 to capture the National Paints Trophy.

The AMCC Spoon went to The Falcons, who were 2-0 winners over The Bhoys while Deals On Wheels beat Dubai Dribblers 2-1 on penalties to bag the A & E Bowl.

The day saw 32 teams from around the region — including Khobar Expats FC from Saudi Arabia — who flew in for the tournament.
