Abu Dhabi: Al Dhafrah head coach Mohammad Kwid has said his team would move on from their league defeat against Al Nasr as they prepare to face Ajman today.

After a strong start to the season, which saw Al Dhafrah pick up four points from their first two games, the team were beaten in their next two league games by defending champions Al Shabab and Al Nasr.

Coach Kwid said: "We needed to achieve victory to rebuild the morale of the players after losing two matches in the UFL.

"Beating Al Dhaid in the Etisalat Cup last week did that and our players now are looking forward to register more good results in the league starting from our match against Ajman.

"Ajman is a good and strong team. They showed their strength against Sharjah and were able to beat them in the UFL which means that our match will not be easy.

"But I have confidence in my players and believe if they did not commit silly individual mistakes both in attack and defence, we will win the points.

"Mistakes are common in football and the team who commit the least win the points. We have worked on that side and at the moment we are ready for the match."

President's Cup

Ajman are in eighth place with six points having beaten both Al Shaab and Sharjah but they lost their last match in the President's Cup against Fujairah, a first division team.

Kwid said: "Their defeat in the President's Cup will not deceive us and we will take them very seriously specially as the match will be held at their own grounds."
