Busy times ahead for ambitious UAE

The UAE national football team starts training on August 3 at Cris Montana in Switzerland for 11 days. After that they leave for France from the 15th to the 24th, playing two warm-up matches against Algeria on the 20th and a local French team on the 23rd.

Dubai: The UAE national football team starts training on August 3 at Cris Montana in Switzerland for 11 days. After that they leave for France from the 15th to the 24th, playing two warm-up matches against Algeria on the 20th and a local French team on the 23rd.

After returning to the UAE on the 24th, the team will assemble again on August 27, meet Bahrain on 29th as the last warm-up before meeting North Korea on September 6 and Saudi Arabia on 10th in the World cup qualifiers. Both matches will be played in Abu Dhabi.

The team hold a training camp before travelling to meet South Korea in Seoul on October 15.

They also assemble in November for the Iran match on the 19 the in Abu Dhabi. At the end of December a short training camp will be held before leaving for Oman for the 19th Gulf cup from January 4 to 17.

On January 21, the UAE meet Malaysia in the Asian Cup qualifiers in Kuala Lumpur and Uzbekistan on 28th in Abu Dhabi. In February, March, April and June, the team will continue their preparations and play in the World Cup qualifiers.
