Abdullah Al Wasl, winners of the double two years ago, were thrashed 6-2 by Al Dhafra on Friday - their fourth defeat of the campaign.

"We did well in the first half, but defensive mistakes in the second half were behind the big defeat," said Al Wasl coach Juricic Srechko, who said he did not know about his future with the team.

"This is something to be decided by the club board and not me," said Srechko.

Meanwhile, Al Nasr failed to win at home for the fourth time when they drew 1-1 with newcomers Ajman following a poor performance.

Al Nasr will need to strengthen their squad during the winter transfer window next month with Iranian defender Mohammad Nasrati and his compatriot Redha Enayati to be replaced by a new defender and striker.

Ajman, however, continue to pick up points and currently lie sixth in the UFL with 11 points following their promotion from the second division last term.
