Dubai: Al Wasl host Saipa of Iran in their last Asian Champions League group B match at the Al Wasl stadium tonight at 8.30pm.

Saipa have qualified for the quarterfinals as the group's top team, after beating Kuwait club 1-0 in Tehran two weeks ago.

Al Wasl are second with six points after they beat Al Quwa Al Jawiya 2-1.

However they have paid a heavy price for losing their first match against Al Quwa Al Jawiya.

A win then could have seen them competing for the top spot with Saipa.

Still, they will be hoping for a good show in today's match after a poor season following last year's league and cup double.

They are currently eighth in the league and lost in the President's cup final to Al Ahli. Saipa, led by Iranian legend Ali Daei as manager, will also be hoping for a good display after tying up the group.
