Abu Dhabi: The UAE FA has cautioned Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, the supervisor of football at Al Jazira club, and fined him Dh20,000 for insulting the referee and the referees' supervisor during his team's last league match against Al Nasr.

Al Suwaidi felt that the officials of the match were responsible for the 4-4 tie which prevented his team from snatching the leadership of the league from Al Shabab due to the unfair sending off of defender Adil Nasib.

Al Jazira, second in the league and two points behind the leaders, drew in the last minute of injury time when Ebrahima Diyaki placed home the all important goal. The result of the match led to the resignation of Salem Saeed, the secretary of the FA Referees Committee who was the referees' supervisor of the match, after an official of Al Jazira accused him of supporting his former club Al Shabab.
