Abu Dhabi: Mohammad Al Sayed, the Al Jazira right fullback, announced that he has not renewed his contract with his club and is studying four local offers at the moment.

"My contract with Al Jazira finished at the end of the season. I don't believe it will be renewed but I have four serious offers from local clubs which I am studying and will take a decision after returning from my vacation in Austria. It was a long and hectic season and I want some rest," Al Syaed told Gulf News yesterday before leaving to Vienna.

"I am still 28 and have four seasons to play at full capacity. I am happy and satisfied with my performance last season in which I helped Al Jazira win the GCC Clubs Championship and finish runners-up in the league."

Al Sayed did not want to disclose which local clubs have approached him but confirmed that Ajman, the team promoted this season to the Pro-League is the most serious offer.

"Al Jazira has told me to join the club I chose and I believe that Ajman is the most likely to have my services because I want to play in the top competition," he said.

"I have spent eight years with Al Jazira and have played in more than one post in defence and midfield and have enjoyed my career with the club and my colleagues. But we are in a professional period and moving between clubs is a common practice which benefits both the clubs and the players," Al Sayed added.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Jumaa, the Al Jazira striker returned home after undergoing a surgical operation on his knee.

"It was a totally successful operation and I am doing rehabilitation training to catch up with the start of the team's training camp to prepare for the new season." Jumaa said.

" We have a tough season ahead of us in both the local competition and the Asian Champions League and we are dreaming of winning the first ever Pro-League title."
