Abu Dhabi: Al Jazira trounced The Abu Dhabi Ports Police team 9-0 in a friendly match on Monday, which was part of the team's preparations for their league match against Hatta on Friday.
It was evident that Ladislau Boloni, the head coach of the team, was looking for replacement for the team captain, Phillip Cocu, who might miss the match due to injury. Both Sultan Al Minhali and Redha Abdul Hadi have performed in Cocu's position and both have excelled.
Mamdo Dialo scored a hat-trick, Hussain Suhail scored a brace, while Toni, Al Minhali, Abdullah Qasim and Ayed Mabkhoot added one each. Dialo, who was a source of worry for the team, proved his aerial capabilities and scored two goals from headers.
"We are ready for Hatta and have no problems other than the injury of Phillip (Cocu)." Boloni said.
