Al Farsy win school cup with penalty shootout
Salman Al Farsy secondary school has won the second Hamdan Bin Mohammad Al Maktoum Football Tournament for the Dubai schools under-19s.

Dubai: Salman Al Farsy secondary school has won the second Hamdan Bin Mohammad Al Maktoum Football Tournament for the Dubai schools under-19s.
Al Farsy school beat Hamdan Bin Rashid school 5-3 after a penalty shoot-out.
Al Safa secondary school won the under-16s category after defeating Al Ahliya Al Khayria school 2-1 in the final held at the Dubai municipality club ground.
The Technology institute finished third in both categories.

The tournament is held annually for Dubai schools under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council (DSC), and organised by DSC with the co-operation of the UAE school sports association and the Dubai education establishment.
Dr Ahmad Sa'ad Al Sherrif, DSC Secretary General, and other officials attended the finals and presented the winners with their trophy and gold medals.
Ahmad Juma of technology institute won the top scorer for the under-19s with seven goals. Ali Khalfan of Hamdan Bin Rashid was the best player, while.
Mahran Gulam of Salman Al Farsy was the best goalkeeper. Mohammad Bin Rashid and Al Ittihad schools shared the fair play trophy.
In the under-16s category, Ahmad Hussain of Al Safa was the top scorer with eight goals.
Abdulllah Faiz of Al Ittihad was the best player, while Omar Abdullah of the technology institute was the best goalkeeper. Al Salam private school and Al Wahda Al Arabiya shared the fair play trophy.
The DSC secretary general said the tournament was one of the most important to be organised by the DSC.
"The tournament discover the young talents in schools who do not play in clubs.
"It gives them a good chance to show their skills and pave the way for themselves to join the clubs and provides good support for the national teams in the near future," said Al Sherrif.
