Al Ahli, Al Wahda to meet in Emirates Cup

Dubai: Al Ahli and Al Wahda will be looking to resurrect their fortunes when they cross swords in their second round match of the etisalat Emirates Cup in Dubai today.

While Al Ahli have one point following their drawn encounter against Al Dhafrah in the opening round last month. Al Wahda are yet to open their account following their shock 2-0 loss to Sharjah.

The team to show best form after the opening round games has been Al Jazira after their 3-0 drubbing of Emirates Club, Ras Al Khaimah. Al Ain too have looked sharp following their 3-2 win against Al Shabab, while Ajman secured a 3-1 win against Bani Yas.

In other matches today, Al Wasl will host Emirates Club, while Bani Yas will take on Al Shabab. Tomorrow, Sharjah will face Al Dhafrah, Al Ain will take on Ajman and Al Nasr will clash with Al Jazira.
