World's tallest trophy for U-14 event
The world's tallest trophy will be presented to the winners of the oncoming Under-14 Dolphin Cup cricket tournament to be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium this month.
Sharjah: The world's tallest trophy will be presented to the winners of the oncoming Under-14 Dolphin Cup cricket tournament to be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium this month.
"This trophy which has been made in India specially for this tournament will enter the Limca and Guinness Book of world records," revealed Neeru Ahuja of Pratham International.
"The trophy will be 13 feet tall and weigh 200 kilograms. It will break the existing record of 11 feet and three inches for the tallest trophy," added Sanjay Ahuja.
Neeru and Sanjay are the owners of Pratham International, which has been organising junior cricket tournaments for the last three years in UAE.
"The Limca record book officials will verify our trophy on December 8 and will be flown into Dubai. It will be released at a function to be held soon," added Sanjay.
Teams from India, Pakistan and UAE will take part in this ten-team tournament scheduled to be held from December 22 to 30.
The best batsman, best bowler and player of the tournament will be presented an Electronic scooter sponsored by Polaris.
Cash awards will be presented for winners and runners up. Gift hampers will be given away for all player .
This tournament is being held under the auspices of the Sharjah Cricket Council and supported by 106.2 Hum FM and Ary Digital. This event is also being supported by over 25 companies in the UAE and abroad.
