Viriaya's deadly five-wicket spell wrecks UAE

Kenya, who were overnight at 255 for 6, went on to record 326 runs through Thomas Odoyo's elegant 137 runs studded with nine boundaries and four sixes.
Viriaya's spell reduced UAE to 185 for 8 despite their openers Rashid Khan and Arshad Ali providing a good start.
"The wicket was a bit slow, but I could extract turn and that helped me to get wickets," said Viriaya who was born in Mumbai but has lived in Kenya since the age of four.
"Recently I went to Mumbai and played for a club in Kandivili. It was a great experience to play against some of the Test players in a domestic tournament," said Viriaya, who speaks fluent Hindi.
Viriaya first had opener Khan caught and bowled for 38. He also dismissed Arshad for 34. The openers had put on 67 runs.
Viriaya struck again to take the wicket of inform UAE skipper Saqib Ali while Kenya skipper Steve Tikolo had one-drop batsman Nigel Fernando, who held on for 53 balls, to score 12 runs.
When Viriaya trapped Azhar Gul leg before for 4, half the UAE side were back in the pavilion for just 107 runs.
The task of lifting UAE out of trouble fell on former UAE captain Khurram Khan but James Kamande trapped him leg before for 18 runs.
Wicketkeeper Amjad Ali kept the scoreboard moving through an unbeaten 37 but Viriaya achieved his five wicket haul by dismissing Shoaib Sarwar.
