Nagpur: Sachin Tendulkar hit a 40th Test century to help India post a total of 311 for five at stumps on the first day of the fourth and final Test against Australia.

Shortly after reaching the milestone Tendulkar was dismissed for 109, leg-before to left-handed Aussie speedster Mitchell Johnson.

Saurav Ganguly (27) and Indian captain M S Dhoni (4) were at the crease. Earlier Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman hit half centuries. Sehwag made 66 and Laxman 64.

How many test centuries will Tendulkar finish at when he calls it a day? Do you think talks of retirement are relevant at this point?
