Dubai: Sri Lanka's rising star Ajanta Mendis is here.

The mesmerising spinner talked about his career and his aspirations on the eve of the International Cricket Council awards to be held on Wednesday.

"I have a long way to go and my aim is to get more accuracy," he said.

For Mendis, his biggest challenge was to prove his talent against the Indians, who are well known for playing spin.

"It was a big challenge to play against them and I am delighted to have done well against them. It added to my confidence," he said.
