Dubai: Indian pacer Shanthakumaran Sreesanth is likely to act in a Malayalam movie soon.

Sreesanth is being offered the role of a cricketer alongside Mamooty, the Malayalam superstar and the National best actor award winner.

Sreesanth is yet to sign the contract but Aashiq Abu, the director of the movie, has held talks with the Indian pacer.

Sreesanth is also a professional dancer. Speaking about his love of dance, he had once told Gulf News. "I used to attend dance class till Grade 10. Dancing is a passion of mine."

During India's tour of South Africa last year, Sreesanth indulged in an impromptu dance to taunt South African pacer Andre Nel.

Sreesanth also loves music and even writes poems.

His brother-in-law Madhu Balakrishnan is a famous playback singer. Sreesanth had even written a song which has been sung by Balakrishnan.

The director is aware of Sreesanth's tight schedule and hence will offer him only a short but a very important role that will have a big influence on the story of the film.
