Abu Dhabi: Shahzad Seddiqi and Haroon Iftikhar hit centuries while Shiran Chaturange displayed his all-round prowess in the three United Bank Limited (UBL) Division II matches played under lights at the Zayed International Cricket Stadium.

Seddiqi belted an unbeaten ton and then snapped four wickets to play the star role in UBL's 183-run win over Technip.

Batting first, hosts UBL made 237 for six in their 25 overs with Seddiqi powering his way through to a brilliant 106 not out. Nasir Seddiqi also chipped in with 35 to set Technip a target of 238.

Buckled down

Technip just could not face the challenge and buckled down with Shahzad Seddiqi's spell of 3-1-6-4 doing the damage. Wasim Bari snapped two wickets to add to Technip's misery as they folded up for just 54 runs.

In another match, Gamco shocked UAE Exchange Centre, thanks to an allround display by Shiran Chaturange. Gamco scored 163 for eight with Chaturanga being the main scorer with 41 off 41 balls. Sanjeeva Dias picked up five for 39 to star for Exchange, who could not chase 164 for the win.

Chaturanga and Mohammad Ameen picked up three wickets each as UAE Exchange were bowled out for 128 with five balls to spare.

William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana registered a 116-run win over SR Electric in another match. Haroon Iftikhar remained unbeaten on 106 with 13 fours and two sixes and his effort helped Gymkhana score 230 for six.
