Abu Dhabi: Adnoc's wicket-keeper batsman Imran Zia's 65-run knock paved the way for his team's 27-run victory over Al Ain CC in the 2nd NMC Ramadan Twenty20 Cup cricket tournament.

Zia slammed eight boundaries and three huge sixes to reach his 65 off 43 balls and help Adnoc score 158 for 9 in 20 overs. In reply Al Ain could only manage 131 as Asif Ghauri and Anwar Baig shared six wickets.

In the second match of the night, Abu Dhabi Gymkhana's Mohammad Farhan came up with an allround display to earn the match of match against Punjab Gentlemen.

Farhan claimed four wickets for just two runs to restrict Punjab to 114 for 7 in 20 overs. Later he chipped in with 22 as Gymkhana overtook Punjab's total for the loss of only three wickets.

The league stage of the NMC Ramadan Cup ends on Tuesday night after which the knockout quarterfinals are scheduled to take place next Thursday and Friday.
