Rehman's five-wicket spell restrict England's lead

Dubai: Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman produced his second consecutive five-wicket spell to bowl out England for 141 runs in the first innings of the third Test match to restrict the lead over Pakistan to 42 runs.

At lunch, Pakistan trail by 12 runs but has lost two wickets as wickets continued to tumble at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium for the second successive day.

England which began from their overnight score of 104 for 6 managed to gain the lead through their skipper Andrew Strauss who hit his 26th half century. Strauss finally fell for 56 runs, stumped by Adnan Akmal off a Rehman delivery. 

Earlier, Rehman struck with the last ball of his first over to dismiss night watchman James Anderson while Stuart Broad was given out leg before following a review to Saeed Ajmal.

Strauss lost his patience after playing 150 balls and went for a wild swing to be stumped and England’s chances of a bigger lead too faded with it.

Pakistan has lost both their openers Mohammad Hafeez for 21 and Taufeeq Umar for six.
