Castries, St. Lucia: Persistent rain has caused a delay to the start of the third one-day cricket international between the West Indies and India at the Beausejour Stadium.

Showers swept across the ground soon after India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl first.

The four-match series is level at 1-1 after the teams split the two matches in Jamaica last week.

The visitors made two changes to the team that suffered an eight-wicket loss on Sunday.

All-rounder Abhishek Nayar replaces Ravindra Jadeja and fast bowler Ishant Sharma returns at the expense of Praveen Kumar.

The West Indies retain an unchanged eleven from Sunday.
