The 27-year-old UAE wicketkeeper-batsman, who was overlooked for the national team’s recent tour to the Netherlands, hit 19 fours and half-a-dozen sixes in his 71-ball stay at the crease against a hapless Daman Insurance.
Patil’s knock helped Yogi post 241 for four, and Daman in reply were bundled out for 53.
Patil dominated an opening-wicket partnership of 137 in 11 overs with Salman Faris (28). He also accounted for a catch, a run-out, and two stumping with his glove work.
Mohammed Kaleem stroked a quickfire 82 and Abdul Haq grabbed three wickets from four overs as Royal Gymkhana defeated New Medical Centre to throw Group C wide open.
The result took Gymkhana to the top of the points standings with two wins in a group that also includes Phoenix Medicine, Nissan Al Masaood and Abu Dhabi Airport Services.
Kaleem’s 40-ball knock, studded with seven sixes and five fours, enabled his team to put up a challenging 171 for nine. Haq removed both the openers, Indika Sampath (8) and NIresh Fernando (4), as NMC’s chase ended at 148 for eight.
Wings and Seven Seas Strikers both achieved resounding victories to extend their record to two on the trot.
