Pak Emirates have the Blues following loss

ECB Blues kept up their dominance over Pak Emirates after winning by seven wickets in the Rosy Blue Twenty20 Summer Cup at the Sharjah stadium on Tuesday night.

Sharjah: ECB Blues kept up their dominance over Pak Emirates after winning by seven wickets in the Rosy Blue Twenty20 Summer Cup at the Sharjah stadium on Tuesday night.

Studded with UAE players who recently represented the country in the Asia Cup, the ECB Blues won comfortably.

Pak Emirates reached 147 for four with Bakhtiyar Palekar leading the charge.

He just ran out of time to score his century after scoring an unbeaten 98 off 61 balls with nine fours and four sixes.

Ahmad Raza took two wickets for 28 runs while Drakes and Qasim Zubair picked up one wicket each for ECB Blues.

Amjad Ali and UAE skipper Saqib Ali did the bulk of the damage when ECB Blues came in to bat.

Amjad made 74 off 65 balls with seven fours while Saqib chipped in with 48 off 36 balls which also included seven fours.

ECB Blues reached the target in 18.3 overs.

In another match, Digicom Zahira Colombo held their nerve at the end to beat Beladi CC by five wickets with five balls to spare.

Beladi CC, batting first, scored 139 for seven with Jarnail Singh smashing a fluent 54 off 32 balls with six fours and three sixes.

Imran with 27 and Fayyaz Ahmad, who hit 25, were the other main scorers.

Chandana bowled well for Digicom Zahira Colombo, taking three wickets for 20 runs while Herath Fernado claimed two for 33 runs.

Digicom Zahira Colombo, in reply, needed some good contributions from their premier batsmen to see off the Beladi challenge.

Dhananjaya Fernando reeled off a blazing 34 off just 16 balls which included four sixes to put his team on the road to victory.
