Nadeem guides Abu Dhabi gymkhana into semis

Concedes just 14 runs as Interface scores 174 for nine in 25 overs

Sharjah:  Nadeem's haul of three wickets for just 14 runs guided William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana to a a narrow two-wicket victory over Interface Transworld in the Sharjah Ramadan Tournament.

The victory helped the Abu Dhabi team to move into the semi-finals.

Nadeem conceded just 14 runs for his three wickets as Interface Transworld, batting first, scored 174 for nine in the allotted 25 overs.

Jagrit Anand led their batting charge with a solid 65 off 52 balls which included five fours and three sixes.

Puneet Mehra (26 off 28 balls), Nalin (24 off 14 balls) and Tushar (22 off 16 balls ) also made useful contributions to the Interface Transworld innings, but all their efforts, in the end, proved in vain.

Abu Dhabi Gymkhana, in reply, held their nerve to overhaul the Interface total with three balls to spare. Saqib Shah (39 off 28 balls with five fours and one six), Shafiq (38 off 28 balls) and Awais (22 not out off 19 balls) led the run chase with some fine batting.

Puneet and Talha took two wickets each.
