Bangalore: Mumbai Indians scored a thumping nine-wicket victory over Royal Challengers in their Indian Premier League (IPL) tie here Wednesday.
Set to chase a paltry score of 123, Mumbai Indians openers Sanath Jayasuriya (54) and Sachin Tendulkar (40 not out) took it upon themselves to see the team through and earn a consolation victory for the side. Mumbai crossed the target with 12 balls to spare.
Both teams are out of contention for the semi-finals.
