Mohammad Hyder

Full-time occupation: Works in marketing for Right Medical Centre in Sharjah.
Skills: Right-hand middle-order batsman/right-arm leg-spinner.
Playing background: India under-19 team. Still plays club cricket for the Air India team in Dubai. International cricket with the UAE national team and was part of the victorious side that won the ICC Trophy in Kenya in 1994, qualifying for the 1996 ICC Cricket World Cup in India.
Career highlights: “I have played against players like Tom Moody, Ian Bishop and Brian Lara during my India under-19 days. “Winning the ICC Trophy with the UAE in 1994 which qualified us for the '96 World Cup was also a memorable achievement.''

Career highlights: “I played against the late Wasim Raja and Majid Khan in a veteran's tournament in Sharjah, but I particularly remember a match against Sunil Gavaskar's Bombay Gymkhana side in 1989 where his son, Rohan, was also playing and I hit Rohan for four consecutive sixes, although he was only a young boy then.''
