Malek steals the show in Ibsons win

Ibsons beat XI on Top by 29 runs as Baber Malek stole the show on the second day of the Trucape Kibsons Twenty20 Ramadan tournament, organised by Ajman Cricket Council and held at the Al Jurf grounds.

Ajman: Ibsons beat XI on Top by 29 runs as Baber Malek stole the show on the second day of the Trucape Kibsons Twenty20 Ramadan tournament, organised by Ajman Cricket Council and held at the Al Jurf grounds.

Ibsons openers Malek and Israr Butt missed their century partnership by a single run when Butt retired hurt on 32, but Malek went on to hit a breezy 69.

Mohammad Boota joined him at the crease, scoring a quick 37 off 16 balls including three towering sixes. But the middle order failed to capitalise on the initial score and Ibsons had to be contented with 184 for 6.

In reply, XI on Top wer restricted to 155 for the loss of three wickets. Regi scored 54 runs and Manoj 56.
