Abu Dhabi: Centuries from Kashif Hussain and Nazar Hussain, and a five-wicket haul from Mujahid Jabar were the highlights of the weekend's UAE Exchange Centre Division II cricket tournament being played at the ADCC grounds.

Kashif hit a breezy 101 not out to lead the sponsor's team to successfully chase Pakhtoon's 196 for seven in the allotted 25 overs.

His 51-ball knock was studded with an impressive nine sixes and five fours, according to an ADCC press release.

Nazar's 103 not out for Thrifty Rent-A-Car went in vain as Al Marjan Herbs knocked off the winning runs for the loss of six wickets and with an over to spare.

Fiery opening

Mujahid bowled a fiery opening spell to claim five for 23 from his quota of five overs to lead Al Fahim to a 44-run win over Seven Stars, who were restricted to 109 for nine when chasing 153 for nine.

The youngsters from Zayed Cricket Academy fell four runs short of recording their first ADCC tournament triumph in three starts. They did well to dismiss their more experienced opponents Khyber for 149 in 23 overs and made 145 for eight in reply that included four run outs.

Moshin Imran took four for 26 from four overs and Hamdan Farooq bagged three for six from three overs. Skipper Jawad Qazi made a top score of 47 and Shoaib Nasser chipped in with a valuable 34 before both batsmen ran themselves out.
