Braggs's 95 powers Arab Udupi to victory
An unbeaten 95 off 35 balls by Prashanth Braggs helped Dubai's Arab Udupi to an eight-wicket win over Al Ain in the NMC Ramadan Twenty20 cricket tournament.
Abu Dhabi: An unbeaten 95 off 35 balls by Prashanth Braggs helped Dubai's Arab Udupi to an eight-wicket win over Al Ain in the NMC Ramadan Twenty20 cricket tournament.
Arab Udupi restricted Al Ain Cricket Association to 130 in 20 overs. In reply, it was a one-man show as Braggs mauled the rival attack. Braggs belted 14 fours and 4 huge sixes as Arab Udupi reached the target in less than 10 overs.
Earlier, openers Shahid Butt (30) and Tariq Mahmoud (28) gave Al Ain a good start, but Sameer Nayak's three-wicket haul put the brakes.
In the second match of the night, Adnoc Distribution got the better of Gamco by 72 runs, with Shadab Khan doing the star turn. He scored 46 and along with Rao Waseem (33) and Shafi Akil (26), helped Adnoc reach 172. Gamco, who had former Pakistan international Saleem Raza in their ranks, failed in their run chase and folded up for 100.
