BCCI set for overhaul at end of the month
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set for a revamp when the President Sharad Pawar steps down at the end of the month.

Dubai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set for a revamp when the President Sharad Pawar steps down at the end of the month.
New officials are set to be drafted into the BCCI administration while others will be moved to different positions.
The body's annual general meeting is set to be held in Mumbai on September 27 and 28 where the changes are scheduled to be discussed.
The nominations for the post of five vice presidents, the secretary, joint secretary and treasurer will be filed on September 26.
Sashank Manohar of Vidarbha Cricket Association will take charge as president during the general body meeting. Pawar is set to become the President of the International Cricket Council from 2010.
Niranjan Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, is also likely to step down from his post.
According to sources at the board of control, N. Srinivasan, the current treasurer, will take over as the next secretary.
Srinivasan, who represents Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, is considered an able administrator and has played a pivotal role in swelling the coffers of the BCCI.
Shah, who is a strong supporter of Pawar, will take up an important post within the BCCI.
Meanwhile, the Jagmohan Dalmiya group has been planning to take some of the key positions.
Ruling group
The ruling Pawar group, to make sure the treasurer post remains with them, is likely to propose M.P. Pandove, currently the joint secretary, for the post.
The new selection committee is also supposed to be appointed soon.
The BCCI has decided to pay salary for the selectors from next year. Dilip Vengsarkar, despite being successful is unlikely to be re-elected as chairman.
The names of Sandeep Patil and Chetan Chauhan and K. Srikkanth have also emerged for the post. The names of Lalchand Rajput, Mohinder Amarnath, Yashpal Sharma and Anshuman Gaekwad are being discussed as members of the committee.
