Bandaranayake stars in Lanka Lions win
Aruna Bandaranayake returned a brilliant five-wicket haul to guide Lanka Lions to a 33-run victory over UAE Nationals cricket team in the 34th Bukhatir League A Division tournament, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council at the Sharjah Stadium.

The pacer punched holes into the UAE Nationals' batting line-up, conceding just 42 runs for his rich haul as Lanka Lions, defending a total of 193, shot out out their opponents for 157 in the 43rd over.
The 'Lions,' well known for their grit and determination, built their innings around Rajapakse (35), Fernando (27) and Bongso (26) before being all out in 42.3 overs.
Udaya took three wickets for 50 runs while Salim and Bangladesh international Nafees took two wickets each.
Nafees, in particular, was most impressive conceding just four runs for his haul. UAE Nationals, in reply, did have their moments, but they failed to provide finishing touch to their efforts.
Alawi Shukri topscored with 40 while Farrukh made 22 but others struggled in the face of a spot-on Lanka Lions attack, led by Bandaranayake.
Chandana also made his presence felt by taking two wickets to hasten the end of the UAE Nationals' innings.
