Allrounder Kashif shines for CSS

Sharjah: Kashif Ahmad produced a brilliant all-round performance to guide CSS Group to a narrow three-wicket victory over Eurocon Alubond in the Al Dhaid Gold Cup, being organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, at Al Dhaid Cricket Village.

The talented all-rounder first snared three wickets for 18 runs and then rattled up an unbeaten 46 to seal the victory for his side with eight balls to spare.

In another match, Priyantha Ganegoda took four wickets for just 13 to help Lanka Lions beat Ibson CC by eight wickets.

The match between CSS and Eurocon produced a lively affair with both teams having their moments in the sun.

Eurocon, batting first, did well to score 144 before being all out in the 35th over. Bakhtiyar Palekar top-scoed with 24 with Niazi chipped in with 23.
