Dubai boys win nip-and-tuck contest

Girls from Delhi Private School Sharjah beat Dubai Modern High School 34-3 in a Under-13s mini division match of the Indian Basketball League tournament at Dubai Cambridge School.

Dubai: Girls from Delhi Private School Sharjah beat Dubai Modern High School 34-3 in a Under-13s mini division match of the Indian Basketball League tournament at Dubai Cambridge School.

Juliet (12), Nojat and Jounun, who scored eight points each, sparkled for DPS Sharjah.

Meanwhile their Under-13 boys team went down fighting against DPS, Dubai.

The Sharjah team led 11-9 in the first quarter with the teams going neck and neck in the second.

At the end of the third, DPS, Dubai were trailing by one point at 16-17, but surged ahead in the last quarter when Jerry scored 10 points.
