I live in the Karama 2 area, in Dubai, and there is a lot of construction work going on in my community even late at night. A building complex is under construction and the foundation is being laid, for which the developers need to use heavy machinery (as seen in photograph).
This causes vibrations in the ground and walls of my building. Even the small decoration items placed in my apartment vibrate due to the work nearby.
I understand that it is a new project and it cannot be halted. But, my request to the developers is simple, please be fair enough to those who want to sleep at night. We work under pressure throughout the day and now we cannot even sleep at night due to the construction. They can continue to work, but with certain limitations.
To begin with, they could perhaps stop working till so late in the night as this is causing inconvenience to the residents of the area.
Is this even legal? If not, I hope the authorities take severe action against the violators.
