Sharjah: The Family Development Centre in Sharjah announced the launch of the 14th edition of the Family Forum under the theme ‘Lead a family... Lead a nation’, yesterday.
The event will be held under the patronage of Shaikha Jawaher Bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Taking place on six days between November 2-19, the forum will focus on the structure of Emirati families, the distribution of duties within families, and the effects of technological developments on family members.
“Families are the main pillars of a society,” said Mudi Bint Mohammad Al Shamsi, Head of Family Forum Supreme Council, at a press conference in Sharjah.
She explained that the family leadership forum will cover several topics that study the social, psychological, educational, and technological challenges faced by Emirati families and the society as a whole. Some sessions will also discuss the technological gap between many parents and their children.
Several studies covering topics such as family leadership in a challenging and modern world and social awareness as well as family duties will be presented at the forum.
The forum will be open to women only on its opening day, November 2, and will be open to the public starting November 3. The event will take place at Al Jawaher Hall in Sharjah.
