Dubai: The ruler of Dubai has always had a penchant for animals, and once again, has shown his caring side when it comes to preserving the UAE’s environment.

In this latest video, we can see His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, releasing a giant turtle back into the Arabian Gulf.

The video, which was posted online last Monday by Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has so far garnered over 80,000 views across social media.   

On Princess Haya’s facebook page, she wrote: “The desert and the sea are equal parts of the UAE heritage, but not all people know them both as well as Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid.”

Fans of Shaikh Mohammad were quick to offer praise on the kind gesture that was captured on camera, as the ruler of Dubai was recorded patting the giant turtle on its shell.
