Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, took it upon themselves to show Ed Sheeran a good time ahead of his Mumbai gig, which will take place on November 19.
Dressed casually in a checked shirt, teamed with camouflage trousers and a pair of spectacles, Sheeran posed for pictures at the party organised in his honour by Bollywood choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan.
The social media accounts of several celebrities, including Neha Dhupia and Maniesh Paul, saw the stars posing for selfies with the British singer-songwriter.
“Life is great when Ed Sheeran loves the shape of me,” Farah tweeted.
Sheeran also took the time to pose for a picture with her triplets.
The performer is in India as part of his Divide Asia tour, which will see Sheeran head to Dubai for his gig on November 23 at the Autism Rocks Arena.
The party was also attended by Malaika Arora, Mira Rajput, Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar and Aftab Shivdasani.
Pednekar tweeted: “Oh yah! Fan girl moment with Ed Sheeran. Thank you Farah Khan for such an amazing. You’re the best.”
Farah’s brother and actor-filmmaker Sajid Khan wrote: “Trust my sister Farah Khan to throw the party of the year with the star of the year Ed Sheeran who is extremely sweet and humble.”
Dhupia, who attempted a selfie, wrote: “A world famous musician stuck with a dissatisfied selfie clicker... Thank you Ed Sheeran for your music, more importantly for your patience! Fan girl.”
While Shah Rukh, Kaif and Johar were also at the party, the trio refrained from posting their fan moments with Sheeran on social media. At least for now.
