Dubai: The humidity has finally dropped and residents can start walking outdoors once again without breaking into a sweat.

The UAE typically cools down from October to March, which is when residents and tourists alike rush to beaches and parks, and carry out a number of outdoor activities to make the most of the good weather.

And with the weather considerably cooling down, parts of the UAE have already dropped down to temperatures in the mid 20s.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) recorded the lowest temperature on Sunday at 21.5 degrees Celsius in Raknah, a suburb of Al Ain, at 5.30am.

In Jumeirah, the temperature at 7.45am was 31.2 degrees Celsius with 42 per cent humidity while Madinat Zayed in Abu Dhabi reached 29.2 degrees Celsius.

According to the NCMS’s daily forecast, clouds are expected to appear over some eastern and southern areas of the country, which may lead to rainfall by the afternoon.

Northeasterly to northwesterly winds are expected to blow across the coastal and internal region, bringing in some dust over exposed areas.

The minimum temperatures will range from 20-29 degrees Celsius in internal and mountain areas, and 24-31 degrees Celsius along the coast.

NCMS forecasters expect a maximum temperature of 26-34 degrees Celsius in mountain areas, while the weather will be slighter warmer in coastal and internal areas at 36-40 degrees Celsius and 38-42 degrees Celsius respectively.
