Glasgow: Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers singled out his defenders for praise after they kept the Rangers attack at bay in his side’s 2-0 Old Firm derby win at Ibrox on Saturday. “I thought defensively we were outstanding today in terms of our pressing and denying them the opportunity to play,” the Celtic manager, who has now won six of his seven Old Firm encounters, said. “We can’t win every game by five or six but I think we showed a great level of performance and management of the game today. We knew it was going to be tough. Pedro (Caixinha) has changed it and brought in a lot of new players and obviously they will believe that they can go and challenge.”
