Rafah: The Rafah terminal on the Egypt-Gaza border has been opened for a day to allow hundreds of Egyptians stuck in the Gaza Strip to return home, an Egyptian official said.

At least 350 Egyptians were stranded in Gaza when Hamas blew up parts of the border wall in January to let thousands of Palestinians cross into Egypt to shop for food.

The opening of the crossing on Tuesday appeared to be a result of a series of negotiations between Egypt and Hamas.
