Gaza: Israeli Prime Minister Olmert vowed on Sunday to continue even stronger attacks on Gaza to curb rocket strikes, despite the UN condemning the offensive which has left over 100 Palestinians, including many civilians, dead.
Following UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s condemnation of the Israeli offensive, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in a radio broadcast, "We sent this clear message to members of the Security Council ... and we simply said Israel cannot and does not intend to accept the situation," referring to Hamas fired rocket attacks.
In the latest fighting, two Palestinians were killed in the northern Gaza Strip, medical officials said.
